NaturePark UK:
To promote Biodiversity as part of
the 2010
Year of Biodiversity Initiative Naturepark UK
aims to further
sustainable nature protection by approaching
conservation from a different angle. We believe
that, due to ongoing pressures on
natural resources, the chances for sustainable
conservation are enhanced if the efforts have clear
economical benefits.
The project plan consists of four stages:
1st.
The Concept:
Conservation efforts must maintain or
even further species diversity, utilising a faster
than natural change of the environment in order to
generate profits and therefore guarantee
sustainability.
2nd.
Pilot projects are to be utilised to prove the
principles, covering a diverse range of economic
activities.
3rd.
Merger of pilot projects to a larger area in terms
of a diverse general project with a single boundary.
4th.
Expansion of the project area.
